Babies are the focus of Jennifer Turner’s program on Sunday afternoon.... tiny babies... about 10 days old or less! She has designed her studio especially for this age of baby, making it a safe and warm environment for them, capturing the love and relationship between child and parent. Jennifer, known as "the Baby Whisperer" by many of her clients, has created a technique for working with this age of baby, convincing them to sleep soundly, allowing her to pose them in unique and beautiful ways.
Her "Newborn Collections" now adorn the walls of numerous homes and offices, selling 6012 large images at a time as well as large packages of gift prints for family members. She has also created numerous "products" with her newborn imagery including charcoal "paintings" using Corel Painter, image transfer tiles, albums, hand bags, journals, and her signature "Collections" which include groupings of 12x12 images of tiny hands, feet, faces, and more.
Jennifer’s studio, A Moment in Time Portrait Design, has been open for 8 years and has become one of Austin’s premiere portrait studios. The studio is a 140 year old historic Texas Plantation home that truly sets her studio apart from the competition. She has been photographing professionally for the past 15 years and just finished two terms as President of the Austin Guild and is founder and President of Children & Family Photographers of America.
Her love of teaching is close behind her love of photography. Jennifer’s philosophy is "If we share, we all grow. If we hide, we spend a lot of time being afraid." She is a PPA Photographic Craftsman and Associate Fellow of Texas PPA.
