Christy and her mother Pat started their photography careers and joined PPA in 2001. After running a mildly successful studio for 7 years Christy and her family embarked on a new journey in a new town taking a break from photography as a business. Two years later she realized she wanted to be able to contribute to her kids impending college dreams so she decided it was time to get serious again. In 2013 Christy declared her candidacy for CPP with PPA. She had no idea at the time what a huge impact becoming a Certified Professional Photographer would have on her business as well as for her personally.
