Great images begin with great lighting, composition and technical knowledge, but the right amount of retouching is the icing on the cake. Join Mandy Corbell while she shows you the techniques she uses to give her portraits just the right amount of “wow” without overdoing it.
Have you avoided frequency separation because it seems so complicated and time consuming? It doesn’t have to be, and Mandy will show you an action that lets you spend 5 minutes or less on an image. Smooth skin, eliminate stray hairs, iron wrinkles in clothing, correct lighting issues, all with frequency separation. Learn a few tricks in Nik Software as well. Speed up your workflow and love your results!
Meet Mandy Corbel:
Mandy operates Mandy Lynn Lundy Portrait Artist, specializing in families and high school seniors, as well as photographing for area editorial magazines.
Photography is her second career. Despite an intense interest in art, she earned a degree in secondary mathematics and spent several years teaching high school math in Oklahoma and Texas. During this time she discovered photography as a creative outlet, and eventually left teaching and began her photographic education, taking local classes, reading books and eventually finding her way to Oklahoma’s PPA. She began competing in PPA’s print competition in 2012 and earned her Masters in three years.
Just last year she married Tony Corbell and he left the Dallas area to live on 5 secluded acres with Mandy and her two children, 17 and 12, a dog and cat, as well as a few skunks, possums, snakes and assorted widelife. Just recently Tony joined Mandy and her studio partner Kimberly Smith in an exiciting new studio space in historic downtown Muskogee.
