Meet TPPA Member, Marsha Hudson:
I am Marsha Lynn Hudson, and I was born and reared in Houston. I am married to a great guy named Malcolm Hudson. He is my best friend, and we are a photographer and videographer team.
I started my photography business in 2000, and marketed myself as a wedding photography. I literally ran my wedding photography business out of my car, and in a corner at Starbucks in the galleria area of Houston. Today, I have a small boutique studio located in West Houston. In 2016, I began transitioning to real estate, headshot and branding photography. My husband is a Certified FAA-Part 107 Drone Pilot.
I have always enjoyed nature and being outside. My love for photography came from always wanting to be in nature. I studied film photography at Sam Houston State University, but in 2000, I had to learn digital photography. I became a member of PPA and PPGH, and later joined TPPA. These organizations helped to shape me into the professional photographer that I am today.
I am a Professor of English and have been teaching at Wharton County Jr. College since 2000. I enjoy reading, writing and blogging. In 2015, I realized that if I didn’t get on the “social media” train, that I might would get left behind. I became certified to teach social media, and became a social media and branding success coach.
I teach social media classes at University of Houston-Small Business Development Center, at local chambers, for small businesses and individuals.
I enjoy laughing, teaching, traveling and keeping life simple. I also love evening walks and yoga. I can be found most days at a nearby Starbucks, or Barnes & Noble. I get so much of my inspiration with a cup of coffee and a book in my hand. My favorite hometown team is The Houston Rockets.
I am so blessed that I am able to join my love of photography and social media, and help propel business owners to “say yes to success.”
