Presented by Phyllis Kuykendall

Sunday, June 30
10:30 AM – Noon

This program is designed to help you understand some of the elements in making merit-worthy images.  You will learn a step by step approach in getting your images to their “final” state. (I sometimes feel like an image is never final!).  You will learn techniques including stretching the canvas to paint out distracting elements and adding texture to give your images depth and dimension.

You will learn how to use the mixer brush in Photoshop to create a painted look.  While this is not a painting class, you will learn several cool tricks for blending and adding color, and how with painting, it is easier to move and transfer elements in an image that might not be working.  You will also learn how to enhance eye color to make those eyes pop.

Lastly, you will discover several Photoshop tricks, including using Nik filters to finalize an image and how to  select matting to create your final presentation.

Phyllis’ program will cover:

  • How to take a dull image to a merit image
  • Photoshop tricks to enhance your images
  • While not teaching painting, you will learn techniques to go home and start your painting journey
  • Enhancing eyes!
  • Rethinking an image knowing you can paint out or clone out distracting parts
